NEW PARTS
As Removed (AR) parts are sold in the same condition they were in when removed from an aircraft. These parts have not been inspected or tested, and their operational status can vary. Some AR parts come from fully operational aircraft that are being dismantled, while others may have been removed due to faults and used as exchange cores. Since AR parts do not include an airworthiness certification, buyers seeking certified components must arrange for inspection and certification through an approved repair station. Despite this, AR parts can offer a cost-effective solution for operators and maintenance facilities looking for specific components at a lower price.
OVERHAUL
Overhauled parts have been fully refurbished to meet industry standards, typically following the part’s Component Maintenance Manual (CMM). This process includes disassembly, thorough inspection, replacement of worn or damaged components, reassembly, and rigorous testing to ensure compliance with performance requirements. While overhauled parts are not brand new, they represent the highest quality available in the used parts market, providing reliability at a lower cost than new parts. Because of the extensive refurbishment process, overhauled components often come with a serviceable tag and traceability documents, making them a trusted option for operators looking for dependable replacements.
AS REMOVED
New aircraft parts have never been installed, used, or subjected to any operating time or cycles. These parts are typically sourced directly from the OEM or authorized distributors and retain full traceability and certification, ensuring compliance with industry regulations. Some new parts may not come directly from the OEM but still include all necessary documentation, including manufacturer certification and traceability records. Since new parts provide the highest level of reliability and assurance, they are the preferred choice for operators needing guaranteed performance, compliance, and longevity in their aircraft maintenance and repairs.
